Round 14 vs New Zealand Warriors

Round 14 vs New Zealand Warriors

We’re halfway through the regular season and the might and power of the Neds Gold Coast Titans are really starting to find some momentum.

Queensland’s premier club side return home in winning form after destroying the Brisbane Broncos in Round 13. We all saw it – it was thorough, impressive and the kind of thing that you’d expect of a genuine top six side.

Let’s be honest; our boys are very unlucky not to be gunning for four in a row here. Big wins over the Sea Eagles and Broncos probably should have bookended that low scoring effort against the Cows a couple of weeks back, but we’re not in the market for pity. Instead, it’s just going to be taken out on a pretty ordinary New Zealand Warriors side, Friday night.

Last week’s win should have rendered the Titans as pretty firm favourites to win this one in my books, but it hasn’t, so I’m more than keen to get around the even money that is currently available in head-to-head betting. That is tip number one.

As always, we’ve pulled apart the markets and found you the best value, as well as a bit of unique insight below.

Total Match Points (39.5) – Over ($1.88)

Boy oh boy, the Titans were lethal in attack last week. Simply put, they ran rings around the Broncos, and I think that they’re only going to be more potent at Fortress Cbus.

The bookies have returned a Total Match Points line of 39.5 for this one and I think that there’s every chance that could be surpassed in the first half, let alone the full eighty. Happy to take the standard $1.88 quote.

The Warriors boast a big, mobile forward pack – what do you need to do to keep them quiet and are you confident of a big performance from the boys?

First Tryscorer – Anthony Don ($8)

Anthony Don got himself back onto the try scorers list last week and returning home, I think that the prolific winger is going to have another big one.

The Titans do boast a multidimensional attack, but it’s pretty hard to look away from Donny to break the early deadlock!

Back onto the try scorers list last week Donny, are you anticipating a tough time against the big Warriors’ defence on Friday?

Anytime Tryscorer – Tyrone Roberts ($4)

The captain has scored some nice tries in 2019 and the $4 that is on offer for him to get over at any time against the Warriors does look over the odds.

He made Darius Boyd look ridiculous last week (but what’s new?) and there arguably isn’t a better ball running half in the league.

You return home with all of the momentum, what needs to be done to make it two in a row against the Warriors?
