It’s the wee hours of the morning, you’ve gotten up to watch the Matildas take on Brazil in the Women’s World Cup and they are 0-2 going into half-time.
Then you decide to go back to bed.
The Matildas have ruined a perfect opportunity at this tournament.
You idiot.
What. A. Win!
That was special 💚💛#WeAreMatildas pic.twitter.com/BgNp7Tmp37

The Matilda’s went on to win the game 2-3. You damn fool.
Caitlin Ford kicked the first one at the 45+2′, then in the second half Chloe Logarzo got the equaliser in the 58′, and then the Brazillian’s scored an own goal off Monica, which for lack of a better word was a debacle in the 66th minute.
It’s best we leave it to Sam Kerr to sum things up.

It’s becoming the norm, it’s becoming expected, but Eddie Betts yet again kicked a ridiculous goal from his own pocket in the Crows 33 point win over the Richmond VFL team featuring Dustin Martin.
The Adelaide Oval crowd went absolutely nuts after Eddie worked his magic 🗣🗣🗣#AFLCrowsTigers pic.twitter.com/r8JZB8Vqs3

Richmond young gun Sydney Stack played a good game on Betts and even congratulated him in the act of true bi-partisan sportsmanship.
But we can’t have that already.
Already some “flogs” (we can’t say that at the footy anymore) have questioned whether it was acceptable in the heat of battle.
Seriously, can we not have any fun when it comes to Footy anymore?
The ratio is in full swing with Garry Lyon’s comments on SEN
What did you think of Sydney Stack congratulating Eddie Betts on his goal?
Garry: “Couldn’t he have shown that respect four minutes later after the game?” https://t.co/5C36AOnTce

The Canberra Raiders remain in the top four on the NRL ladder with a thrilling 22-20 win over the Sharks in Canberra last night.
However, an injury cloud hangs over Nick Cotric.
In contention for the next Origin clash in Perth, he limped off in the 68th minute last night after being caught with a tackle that was somewhat awkward from Wade Graham from the Sharks.
The Origin teams are named on Sunday and it remains to be confirmed if he’ll get a call up for the Blues.
A nail-biter in Canberra!
