Dubbo: Race 3 (1:35pm)
No. 5 Jetgirl

Jetgirl has finished outside of the places just once in four starts this time and is beautifully placed to return to the winner’s stall at Dubbo this afternoon. The Nicconi mare recorded consecutive wins to begin her preparation and while she turned in a lacklustre run at Parkes two back, she was extremely tough to the line to finish third at Hawkesbury, with 60kgs in tow after being caught wide. She’ll relish a big drop in the weights and will be tough to beat.

Toowoomba: Race 2 (3:47pm)
No. 4 Fertile Soil

Fertile Soil returned a decent effort to finish third on the Gold Coast first-up and is primed to break her maiden at Toowoomba this afternoon. The Snitzel mare showed promise during her debut prep without breaking her maiden, but she has clearly returned a far-more furnished prospect this time and simply will not be offered a better opportunity to record her first career win.

Dubbo: Race 8 (4:40pm)
No. 5 Chevron Prince

Chevron Prince has only made two appearances at the races, but he’s stamped himself as a colt to follow and can continue his rise through the grades in the last at Dubbo this afternoon. The three-year-old son of Epaulette worked home well to finish third on debut here at Dubbo, but never appeared in doubt last time out and broke his maiden in style. This is obviously harder, but he has the runs on the board and the $11 on offer at publish looks over the odds.

Toowoomba: Race 4 (5pm)
No. 3 Hold On

Hold On will return from a brief freshen up in the fourth at Toowoomba this afternoon and will be tough to beat. The five-year-old daughter of Show A Heart has produced several pleasing performances in tougher races than this one in 2019 and hit the line well to finish a close-up second over a mile here last time out. Her form at Toowoomba is excellent and she can fight out the finish a again.
