Guiding Light has returned several pleasing efforts this time and looks the one to beat in the first at Wentworth Park tonight. The daughter of El Grand Senor powered home to score an impressive win at Richmond two back but ran into early trouble from a tough draw last time out and was never in the race. The inside box tonight is ideal and she’s ready to win again.
Ketakey has been airborne this time and will be tough to beat again at Wentworth Park tonight. The daughter of Keybow strung together three impressive wins before a tough run heralded a fourth placing here last time out, but she’s rock-hard fit and this does look an easier task. If she steps well from the central box, she’ll be hard to run down.
Run By Night has only had one career start, but he looks a dog with above-average ability and looms as a live each-way chance in the fifth at Wentworth Park tonight ($9 at publish). The son of Hay Fergus won a couple of trials prior to his debut and flew home to finish second at this track and distance last week. There’s no doubt that he’ll enjoy good improvement from that experience.
Zombie has found good form recently and is capable of winning a race to the calibre of the eighth at Wentworth Park tonight. She scored a smart win at Nowra two back before a quality effort from a tough box (6) to finish a close-up second here last time out. She’s rock-hard fit and can make all of her own luck from Box 1.
