There seems to be a cleaning theme to the Champions League at the moment.
Yesterday we saw AJAX (yes we know it’s pronounced “eye-ax”) got the job done over Spurs and Lionel Messi delivered a stunning free-kick to put an end to Liverpool’s hopes in Europe.
Not only did Barcelona get a 3-0 win over the Reds but it was his 600th career goal for the club.
To use an AFL comparison, Messi has scored more goals for Barcelona than Jonathan Brown did for the Lions, Peter Diacos did for the Magpies or Eddie Betts currently has.
Liverpool had their chances, but Barcelona was able to convert where it counted on the scoreboard and it was all about the little magician in a Football Master Class from the Argentinian superstar.
What a ride.
The final whistle sounds, and Barcelona secure a 3-0 win over Liverpool at the Camp Nou.#UCL #BARLIV #OptusSport pic.twitter.com/75tVC1gv5w

For those of you that have been living on Mars, where access to the internet is banned here’s the plot so far regarding Wayne Bennett and Anthony Siebold with the Bunnies and the Broncos
From people not showing up to BBQs, the Bunnies and Broncos hiring the respective coaches for the 2020 season but really wanting it to happen this year, Wayne holding out to get sacked by the Broncos, reports that Seibold is paranoid about everything Bennett says having an impact on the Broncos somewhat poor start to season 2019, Seibold being suspicious that Bennett was talking to his Bunnies players when he was still at Brisbane, Allegations of Bennett changing pre-season training when he wasn’t actually the coach…(take a deep breath), it’s quite the drama in what is the most infamous coaching swap in Rugby League history.
No wonder the ratings for Home and Away and Neighbours aren’t as good as they used to be when Rugby League dishes out stuff like this.
Anyway, Bennett’s Bunnies host the Siebold Broncos at ANZ Stadium in what is an actual grudge match.
It’s also Darius Boyd’s 300th game for the Broncos.
Let’s just hope it lives up to the hype.
