each way
Dubbo: Race 5 (2:20pm)
No. 7 Tomatin

Tomatin will carry winning form into the fifth at Dubbo today and will only improve into this, his third-up target. The son of Smart Missile clearly needed the run when he finished sixth on debut, but stormed home to break his maiden at Mudgee last time out despite being left in the market. He’s drawn a peach today in barrier 4 and with even luck, can continue his rise through the grades ($10 at publish).

Dubbo: Race 6 (3pm)
No. 3 Concours

Concours hasn’t been seen at the races since December, but she showed good ability during his debut prep and can make a winning return at Dubbo this afternoon. The Medaglia D’Oro mare hit the line well to finish third at Gundagai on debut and took plenty of benefit into her second-up target and win at Mudgee. She was sent to the paddock after fading at Orange but has trialled well in the lead-up to this and looks ready to go.

Dubbo: Race 9 (5pm)
No. 4 Caszar

Caszar was luckless in running last time out, but he’s rock-hard fit and strikes a winnable one at Dubbo this afternoon. The Zariz gelding stormed home to break his maiden at Cowra two back before producing another fair effort to finish fifth at Narromine last time out after weathering a tough run in transit. He won’t be offered a better opportunity to return to winning form.
