Pakenham: Race 3 (1pm)
No. 1 Yulong November

Yulong November has only had one career start, but he showed the signs of a quality galloper and I think that he can break his maiden at Pakenham this afternoon. The three-year-old son of Snitzel was caught wide in transit on debut, but still mustered a pleasing turn of foot to run on for sixth and there is no doubt that he’ll enjoy plenty of improvement for the experience. With better luck today, he can be fighting out the finish.

Pakenham: Race 5 (2pm)
No. 3 Perfect Command

Perfect Command has returned several pleasing efforts this time and looks a live chance at a nice price ($7 at publish) to win at Pakenham this afternoon. The Commands gelding has worked home well to finish on the winner’s heels at his last two starts and he is on the short back up today after a strong run at Geelong. He’s drawn ideally in barrier 4 and is up to winning a race like this.

Pakenham: Race 6 (2:30pm)
No. 1 Safety Dance

Safety Dance has finished off his last couple of races well and arguably will not be faced with a better chance to return to winning form than he finds today. The Lindsay Park-trained galloper finished a close-up second at Werribee two back before placing fourth at this track and distance last time. Lewis German has options from the rails draw today and the horse will take beating.

Pakenham: Race 9 (4pm)
No. 9 Kobe Princess

Kobe Princess has been luckless but has also improved with her two starts this time and looks ready to do something third-up today at a nice price ($10 at publish). The Reward For Effort filly was fair to the line at Wangaratta first-up, but hit the line well to finish fourth here last time out after finally being offered clear running. She’s got upside and she does look a touch of overs in the market.
