In what has surely been a massive blow to all the naysayers, England has dominated Europe this season and the Champions League Final will be contested between Premier League sides Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool at the Wanda Metropolitano in Madrid on Sunday morning.
Liverpool went within a single point of claiming their first ever title in the Premier League era a couple of weeks ago, but a Champions League triumph would arguably be a better result for the popular Merseyside club, and they have opened $1.95 favourites in betting.
Virtually nothing is expected of Spurs, but they have kept their best performances for moments like this and they represent value in Champions League Final betting at $4.25.

Liverpool
It’s pretty easy to sit back and bag Liverpool, but they’ve clearly been one of England and indeed the world’s best club sides these last two seasons and it would be fitting to see them hoist the Champions League trophy on Sunday.
Incredibly, they lost three of their Group C matches and ultimately finished second behind PSG, but the Reds have turned in on when they have needed to and are the side to beat in the final.
The situation appeared dire when they drew German giants Bayern Munich in the Round of 16, but a nil-all draw at Anfield was followed with an incredible 3-1 win on the road.
They got one of the softer Quarterfinal draws and breezed past Porto 6-1 on aggregate, but once again the campaign looked shot when they lost 3-0 to Barcelona at the Camp Nou. They responded with an incredible 4-0 victory and a repeat of that performance would surely see them winning the Champions League.
Tottenham Hotspur
Spurs have toyed with the idea of being one of England’s elite clubs for several seasons now, but they have just haven’t been able to put it all together enough to secure a piece of silverware. This is clearly their best chance so far and they will be quietly confident of beating their English rivals.
Spurs finished second behind Barcelona in Group B; winning two, drawing two and losing two. They put the writing on the wall when they comfortably eliminated Borussia Dortmund 4-0 on aggregate, before overcoming subsequent Premier League champs Manchester City; drawing their series 4-4 but progressing on away goals.
They showed plenty of resolve to fight back into their semi-final series with Ajax and win on the return leg, and they’ll take beating again on Sunday morning.
Champions League Final Betting
There is value around both clubs in win-draw-win betting, as per the prices quoted above. Everything is on the line and both clubs will be extremely desperate to win this, so the $3.40 on offer for a draw after regular time does hold plenty of appeal.
There’s plenty of over/under goal lines available, but I’m anticipating a tightly fought, low-scoring affair here and the $1.90 on offer for under 2.5 goals is worth consideration.
Goalscorer markets are a wide-open affair in 2019 Champions League Final betting. At publish, Mo Salah is the $5.25 favourite to score first, from Sadio Mane ($5.50). Harry Kane is the $6 top elect for Spurs. If Spurs are to win, I think that they need to score first and Kane is sure to be their first target.
