NO KANE. NO WORRIES. SPURS BEAT CITY.

Turns out Tottenham didn’t even need to worry about being without Harry Kane’s injury in the 20th minute when Son Heung-min can fill the void!

In the 78th minute of this morning’s Spurs-City Champions League clash – Son got one in the back on the net to give the success-starved Manchester City its first loss in any comp since January.

The game was intense, and you couldn’t really tell the difference where these two sides were on the EPL table.

The final result was Spurs 1 – City 0.

Tottenham’s new stadium pays for itself.

In other Champions League action, Liverpool got the job done with a 2-0 win over Porto at Anfield.

The Reds are closer to a semi-final meeting with either Barcelona or Manchester United, with a big first-leg quarterfinal win.

But this is Liverpool we’re talking about here.

DUSTY'S DISCOUNT

Dustin Martin was successful at the AFL Tribunal last night in bringing down his two-week suspension, to one.

Richmond’s argument was that Martin’s behind the play elbow on Giant Adam Kennedy was low-impact, therefore reducing Dusty’s ban to one match.

The Tigers didn’t bother to get him off completely, rather just getting him the discount.

Richmond manager of Football Neil Balme told the media last night

“It’s always pretty tough,” Said  Balme.

“He still gets a week, which is a bit sad. But it was a good hearing. They listened to us.

“He’s just got to take a breath. He’s a very, very good player. He gets the treatment because that’s what he is, so he’s just got to go past it and we need to help him a bit with it.

“It would be nice if he did get a couple of extra free kicks, but he’s got a week off which is disappointing for us. But in two weeks’ time, we’ll be back at it.”

Dusty will miss Richmond’s game against Port Adelaide this Saturday and will be back for their match against the Sydney Swans.

INGLIS ON SICK LEAVE

Souths coach Wayne Bennett says he is more than prepared to give Greg Inglis some more to recover from his illness and shoulder injury as many speculate about his future in Rugby League.

Inglis has already been ruled out of South’s clash with the Warriors after Bennett gave him the week off.

He also missed the Bunnies win over the Titans and the golden point loss to the Sea Eagles due to his shoulder injury.

Along with this, he missed training last week due to food poisoning.

Speaking to the Sydney Morning Herald Bennett said

“He was crook over the weekend, he had food poisoning. He trained Saturday, he came in Monday, he was supposed to train but wasn’t well enough,”

“I looked at him, he looked shit and I said, ‘mate, go take the week off’.
