AB-BOO-LET

Social media and all the footy shows are speculating as to why Gary Ablett Jnr was booed by Hawthorn fans during the Cats 23 point win over the Hawks yesterday.

It clearly had zero effect on the little master given he was able to do things like this yesterday.

Not only did Ablett take that screamer, he booted three goals, had 23 touches and was easily amongst the Cats best.

Some say the booing was regarding him liking Isreal Folau’s social media posts, others say it was because he is a champion – either way it got Gazza back to vintage form.

Perhaps they were saying Ab-BOOOOOO-let?

LAZARUS DROPS THE SEIBOLD

Former Palmer United Party senator for Queensland and five-time premiership hero Glenn Lazarus has described new Broncos coach Anthony Seibold’s team as “deluded” and that they need to be “realistic to make changes.”

The Brisbane Broncos have had their worst start to a season since 1999.

Brisbane lost to the Raiders 26-22 on Sunday with Seibold urging patience on his young Broncos.

But Lazarus didn’t hold back when speaking on Macquire Sports Radio this morning

“He was in an NRL job for 12 months, now he’s signed a five-year contract with probably the most scrutinised [teams] when it comes to the fans and Brisbane and south-east Queensland,”

“They’re scrutinised to the max.

“I think he’s deluded in some ways, some of the comments he’s saying.”

“Something needs to change, they cannot continue down this path of playing the same team week in, week out and getting the same result.

“Its not the result South East Queensland and all the Broncos fans want, so [Seibold] has to do something..”

Tell us what you really think Lazzo.

NBL PLAYER DOMINATES IN NBA PLAYOFFS

Andrew Bogut’s return to the NBA is looking like a worthwhile exercise.

In Golden State’s game against the LA Clippers, he just missed a double-double but helped the Warriors chalk up another W against the Clippers.

Golden State beat the Clippers 113-105 in LA yesterday and now have a 3-1 lead in the best of seven playoffs.

The boy from Dingley in Victoria did well with eight points, 10 rebounds and four assists.

He fouled out with four minutes left on the clock.

It’s felt like Bogut never left and has fit back into the Golden State roster with ease.

Golden State coach Steve Kerr is on board with having Bogut back in the team.

“The reason it was such a great signing for us, is not that he’s just a hell of a player, but because he has been with us and he is so familiar with what we do.”
