Round 5 vs Penrith Panthers

Round 5 vs Penrith Panthers

Welcome to Titans Tips – Your weekly insight into the best bets and tips for every game played by the Neds Gold Coast Titans!

The league’s newest franchise is yet to taste premiership glory but the way I see it, there’s no better year to salute than the first that they are partnered with the country’s newest (and best) sportsbook.

It’s been a tough start to the season for our boys, but that is only going to make a successful charge towards the finals that little bit sweeter.

Round 5 sees the mighty Neds Gold Coast Titans return to Cbus Stadium for only the second time this season and the Penrith Panthers are the unlucky club set to feel the wrath of the constantly improving home side on Friday night.

Given the wildly mediocre performances mustered by the Panthers so far in 2019, Round 5 is the Titans’ time to strike and above everything, put two competition points on the board. With games against the Knights, Tigers and Cowboys to follow, I’m confident that this will be the first in a consecutive run of many.

First tip of the week is obviously the Titans to win at $2.10, but you can find a whole lot more and a bit of unique insight below.

Total Match Points (38.5) – Under ($1.88)

The bookies have set a total match points figure of 38.5 for this one and the standard $1.88 quote is available for both options.

Only one Titans game has eclipsed that figure this season; Round 3’s 28-20 loss to the Rabbitohs. I’ve got the Titans scoring four converted tries and the Panthers nicking a couple of consolations late, and that still only puts the magic number at 36. Happy to be with the under.

First Tryscorer – Anthony Don ($8)

Anthony Don took his tally to two tries for the season when he crossed in the second half against the Warriors last week and looks primed for a big performance in front of his home crowd this week.

The 2017 Paul Broughton Medallist was a notable omission from the Titans’ Round 1 side but has responded with some quality performances and the $8 that is currently on offer for him to score the first try in this game does look a touch of overs.

Anytime Tryscorer – Tyrone Peachey ($2.50)

I’m expecting big things from Tyrone Peachey in what will be his first appearance against his former club and he looks a nice Anytime Tryscorer bet at $2.50.

He’s yet to get over the line in Titans colours, but he’s continued to improve week-on-week as combinations have started to gel. I think he’s going to get plenty of opportunities to get his hands on the ball and he is always a real handful for the opposition defence.
