It’s hard to believe that we’ve already reached the penultimate week of Neds Friday Night Lightning at Wentworth Park, but there’s still plenty of opportunities to get involved!
As always, all ten races will be contested over 280m at Wentworth Park on Friday and a range of grades will be represented.
Following three weeks of competition, Allan Ivers continues to lead the way and the Swan Bay-based trainer is set to be well represented again in Week 4.
Dana Hammy returned a lacklustre performance last time out, but his form prior was excellent and he looks a genuine each-way chance of winning the first at Friday Night Lightning. The son of Swift Fancy recorded two impressive wins in succession last month before running second in a 440m race at Goulburn. He missed the jump at his most-recent appearance, but generally displays great box speed and if he steps on Friday, he’ll be tough to run down.
Faith In Thee ran into early trouble at last week’s Friday Night Lightning, but she’ll relish jumping from Box 1 this time around and is good enough to return to winning form. The three-year-old daughter of Goodesy finished in the places at her three starts prior to last week’s luckless effort and she is rock-hard fit. She is one of the Allan Ivers contingent set to step out and is a live chance of continuing the trainer’s outstanding run of form at Friday Night Lightning.
Friskey has been absolutely airborne this time and will be hard to beat in the seventh on Friday. The three-year-old has won each of her three most-recent starts, highlighted by dominant wins in Weeks 2 and 3 of Friday Night Lightning. She’s got plenty of early speed so Box 4 shouldn’t be too much of an issue and while this does look to be her sternest task for a little while, she has the runs on the board.
Danni Said No was checked out of her last start here at Friday Night Lightning, but her form prior was excellent, and she strikes another very winnable one in Week 4. The two-year-old put together three-consecutive wins leading into her most-recent appearance, including a three-length triumph in Week 1 of Friday Night Lightning, and her form from wide boxes is generally good. She can cross the field and lead all the way.
