Wyong: Race 5 (3:10pm)
No. 9 Romalette

Romalette has only made one appearance at the races so far, but she finished off well at Hawkesbury last time out and will be faced with a track rated in the ‘Good’ range for the first time today. The daughter of Epaulette was settled at the tail of the field from the outside barrier a fortnight ago and mustered a keen turn of foot when she was finally offered clear running in the straight. Her closing sectionals were better than those of today’s favourite Dubai Harbour in a race run under similar conditions.

Back Up #2 Dubai Harbour

It looks a race in two between Romalette and Dubai Harbour, so this looms as the perfect opportunity to utilise a Back Up.

Wyong: Race 6 (3:45pm)
No. 4 I Am Awesome

I Am Awesome will resume from a short spell at Wyong this afternoon and typically races well fresh. The I Am Invincible mare returned several pleasing efforts last time in and has posted a career total of five wins and four minors during her seventeen appearances. She can slot in behind the early pace today from barrier 6 and with even luck in the straight, can finish over the top of her rivals. She looks a touch of overs today at an each-way price ($7.50 at publish).

Pakenham: Race 3 (7pm)
No. 8 Theme Park

Theme Park savaged the line at Geelong last time out and can break his maiden at Pakenham tonight. The Ocean Park gelding has shown potential without breaking his maiden but has also had excuses on more than one occasion. He can take a position on pace in a race that doesn’t look like boasting many leaders and jockey Jamie Kah is an excellent judge of speed. He’ll be tough to run down.

Pakenham: Race 4 (7:30pm)
No. 6 Oregon Dreamer

Oregon Dreamer has been in strong form this time and is rock-hard fit for her fifth campaign start at Pakenham tonight. The Cape Blanco filly has continued to improve with racing this time and mustered an eye-catching sprint in the straight to win at this track and distance two starts back. She made up plenty of ground late to finish fifth at her most-recent appearance and can settle closer to the speed tonight from an inside draw. Jamie Kah retains the ride and Oregon Dreamer looks hard to beat.
