Sandown Park: Race 1 (7:07pm AEDT)
No. 4 Vivatar

Vivatar was a dominant winner two starts back and a repeat of that performance would also see him winning the first at Sandown Park tonight. The son of Barcia Bale has since stepped out in a tougher grade and received no luck in running, but he’s continuing to improve with racing and will appreciate a step back in class. If he steps well from the central box, he’s a live chance of leading all the way.

Back Up #1 Federal Impact

Federal Impact is first-up from a spell but is capable of a high-rating performance and looks the major danger. I’ll happily use my daily Back Up here.

Sandown Park: Race 2 (7:25pm AEDT)
No. 2 Dyna Unther

Dyna Untha is seeking a third-consecutive win at Sandown Park tonight and looks tough to beat again. The son of Barcia Bale has only made four appearances at the races since debuting last month but has more than stamped himself as a dog to follow and continues to improve with each effort. He recorded a nine-length win in his only other start from Box 2 and while this is a step up in class, he’s primed for another big run.

Sandown Park: Race 4 (8:07pm AEDT)
No. 4 Flynn

Flynn has been airborne this time and will take a power of beating in the fourth at Sandown Park tonight. A dominant winner of his first two starts back from a spell, the Kinloch Brae two-year-old stepped awkwardly at Ballarat two starts back but powered home for fourth, before returning to the winner’s stall at his most-recent effort.

Sandown Park: Race 10 (10:07pm AEDT)
No. 4 Red Rock

Red Rock is still learning his craft, but he is a star in the making and will be hard to beat in the tenth at Sandown Park tonight. A son of the legendary Fernando Bale, Red Rock recorded a five-length win over 515m at Angle Park two starts back before working home well to finish third under the same conditions last time out. With even luck from the central box, he’ll give them something to chase.
