It is never an easy task lining up the young ones stepping up in distance in the Inglis Sires Produce Stakes. Just how much did the Golden Slipper take out of the ones that went down that path and how will the other stack up when they step up in class? These are the questions we endeavor to give answers to and out of that, provide our 2019 Sires Produce Stakes tips.
This is class runner of the two year old class of 2019 in my opinion. The Exceed and Excel colt was enormous chasing home Kiamichi in the Golden Slipper at Rosehill and he has barely put a foot wrong so far in his short career. He has a tricky gate to overcome however he will go very close on talent alone.
I think the double figure odds available for the 2019 Golden Slipper winner is very much overs. Punters seem willing to ignore her truly dominant win in the race because she was a big price however she is clearly a talented filly. Happy to take the $10 that she can stack up again and be competitive especially if she can jump well from the inside gate and get a soft time of it on the speed or just off it.
Bellevue Hill was very brave with a fighting effort behind Yes Yes Yes in the Todman Stakes and his win last weekend was just as impressive. He makes all his own luck on the speed which might just be the best place to be at the time of running and he should be rock hard fit for this contest.
Castlevecchio is another that has not had the hard run on the heavy track in the Golden Slipper which may prove to be advantageous as the young ones get out over ground. He has a quick turn of foot at the end of his races and he is one that will capitalize if they go hard in front.
