It all started when the 7AFL page put up this picture of Carlton AFLW player Tayla Harris. A pretty damn good football photo taken by Michael Wilson from AFL Photos.

Because it’s AFLW, the photo attracted some ordinary comments and as a result the Channel 7 AFL page decided to take it down.

Seven thought they were doing the right thing to combat the trolls but social media had other ideas. Some high profile AFL and sports people spoke out against the photo being taken down.
How this incredible image of Tayla Harris by Michael Willson was;
1- seen as negative and drew trolls to comment and
2- that the @7AFL took it down as a result…
ASTOUNDS ME!
So I’m sharing it proudly! #GoTaylaGo #womeninsport pic.twitter.com/ErrdVOwskI— Anna Meares (@AnnaMeares) March 19, 2019

Tweets and posts flooded all the various social media platforms with people speaking up the photo of Harris. Channel 7’s AFL page eventually put it back up and apologised for the misunderstanding.
We’re sorry. Removing the photo sent the wrong message.
Many of the comments made on the post were reprehensible & we’ll work harder to ban trolls from our pages.
Our intention was to highlight @taylaharriss incredible athleticism & we’ll continue to celebrate women’s footy. pic.twitter.com/p24Ll08LRC

On the RSN Radio Breakfast show in Melbourne this morning, Tayla Harris spoke about dealing with the trolls.
“I can see in people’s profile pictures and they have women in their photos. What are these people saying behind closed doors?”

Like a lot of people in Sydney, the landlord wants them to move because it’s either too crowded or they simply can’t afford it anymore.
We’re not talking about paying $780 a week for a 1 bedroom flat in Newtown, we’re talking about one of the nine NRL clubs that HQ wants to ship off elsewhere.
In a move possibly similar to the Super League war, Paul Kent spoke on NRL 360 last night that it’s most certainly on Todd Greenberg’s agenda
“The other thing that concerned me about that interview is he let slip the word criteria and if you understand NRL history, criteria is a dirty word in this game.
“In the Super League war when we went from 20 teams down to 16 we applied the criteria, which forced mergers between the Bears and Manly and Wests and Balmain and St George and Illawarra.”
There was speculation over the word “criteria” which is set to get the alarm bells ringing amongst some of the struggling Sydney clubs.
Kent further went on to say
“This current TV deal is up in 2023 and let’s not kid ourselves we need another side in Brisbane and perhaps one in New Zealand and the other option is Perth.
“There are too many teams in Sydney and at some stage in the near future, something has to give.
“For it to happen in time for the next TV deal then something has to happen now.”
