Liverpool’s proud tradition of letting their chance of winning a Premier League title slip after being top of the table at Christmas time is in full swing.
Manchester City now has their hands on the title with Liverpool slipping to second with a 0-0 draw in the Merseyside Derby against Everton.
Mo Salah had some chances to get the Reds up in the match but failed to break the deadlock.
Liverpool now needs to rely on City to drop one in the final nine matches of the EPL season if they are to end their 29-year drought.
And a friendly reminder that it’s always fun to remind your Liverpool supporting mates that they’ve never won a Premier League title.
Ball boy banter.

Here’s something we are highly unlikely to write when it comes to the AFL in 2019 “This weekend the Gold Coast Suns, St.Kilda and Carlton won their matches.”
In what bizarro world does this happen in? The JLT Community Series of course.
The AFL’s no-cup glorified practice matches series got underway this weekend with Fremantle and Collingwood to finish off the first weekend tonight in Joondalup.
Gold Coast’s young guns gave the Suns a taste of victory as they defeated the Western Bulldogs by five points in Mackay last night.
The Bulldogs challenged towards the end of the game, but the Suns managed to hold on, pleasing their 20 fans back home.
The Suns played three out of last year’s top six picks at the National draft and managed to get over the line in humid conditions at the aptly titled “Great Barrier Reef Arena”

St.Kilda also got a taste of victory, beating North Melbourne by 25 points in Werribee on the weekend.
Coming off a horror week for the club which saw Jack Steven take leave to deal with mental health issues and the possibility of Jake Carlisle missing the season due to back surgery.
The win clearly meant something to the Saints with club CEO Matt Finnis addressing the players post-game informing them that it might sell a few or memberships and save him from having to sack coach Alan Richardson…for now.

And of course, you have to go way back to Thursday night when Carlton beat Essendon by 10 points.
Blues fans have been going on all weekend about Patrick Cripps winning the Brownlow ($7), Sam Welch to win the Rising Star ($2.50) and that their 23-year premiership drought is about to end.

If you are delusional and think that a win in week one of the JLT Series leads to a premiership, you can get St.Kilda @ $101.00, Carlton @ $151.00 and the Gold Coast Suns @ $251.00
For no particular reason at all, here’s Winx storming home to win her 31st race on the trot in Saturday’s Chipping Norton Stakes.
