Lady Grande has only made two appearances at the races so far, but she has shown decent potential and can break her maiden at Scone this afternoon. The Mastercraftsman mare worked home well to finish within a length of the winner on debut at Taree in February before another fair effort for third at Wyong last time out. This looks to be her easiest task to date and she’ll relish another go at the mile.
Lass Vegas will resume from a spell in the fourth at Queanbeyan today and will take plenty of beating. The All American mare won by more than five lengths over 900m first-up here at Queanbeyan last time out and continued to perform well as Graham Brown raised the bar. Her form of soft going is excellent, and she can record her third career win.
Time Raid has not been seen at the races since October, but he absolutely flies fresh and looks well place to make a winning return at Scone this afternoon. The Time Thief gelding stamped himself as a horse to follow when he strolled in to break his maiden by five lengths on debut in September, before repeating the performance and result over 1500m at Newcastle. He played up in the barriers at his most-recent effort but has trialled well in the lead-up to this and looks ready to go.
Normality is seeking a third-consecutive win at Scone this afternoon and is over the odds at her current price ($11 at publish). The daughter of Animal Kingdom has continued to improve with racing since debuting in January, but her two most-recent efforts have been outstanding, and she is at peak fitness for this race.
