Maitland: Race 4 (8:13pm AEDT)
No. 5 Hunter Lyndan

Hunter Lyndan has produced several pleasing performances and results this time and will be tough to beat in the fourth at Maitland tonight. The son of Fernando Bale stormed home to score by more than four lengths at Casino two starts back and overcame early interference to work home well for fourth last time out. The 400m he sees tonight is perfect and with even luck from the central draw, this looks like beautiful placement.

Back Up #2 Zipping Burgess

Zipping Burgess has been building towards something recently and looks the main danger. I’ll happily utilise a Back Up.

Maitland: Race 6 (8:58pm AEDT)
No. 3 Scientific Man

Scientific Man is seeking a third-consecutive win when he steps out in the sixth at Maitland tonight and looks the one to beat again. The son of Cosmic Rumble strolled home to win at Goulburn before being sent for a spell in December, and his first-up run for a six-length win at Bulli earlier this week was utterly bullish. He’ll take plenty of improvement from that hit-out into this and with even luck, will prove hard to run down.

Maitland: Race 7 (9:22pm AEDT)
No. 3 Flying Apollo

Flying Apollo ran home well to just miss last time out and looks well placed to return to winning form today. The two-year-old has only missed a placed once since transferring to the care of Jason McKay and was an easy winner here over 400m three starts back. As long as he steps well, he’ll take a power of beating.
