Spring Ruby has been a strong and reasonably consistent performer this time and looks over the odds to win at Ipswich this afternoon. The daughter of Magic Sprite strung together two dominant wins at Bundaberg in February before a credible performance for fourth at this track and distance last week, having been caught in the pack early. If she steps, she’s good enough to fight out the finish.
Fabatime is a dog that loves racing on the 288m course at Ipswich and she’s primed for another big run this afternoon. A daughter of Fabregas, Fabatime broke her maiden with ease here first-up last month before recording another dominant win, the best of her short career last week. The central box is perfect and with even luck, she’s the one to beat.
Dyna Acacia has been a strong and consistent performer this time and strikes another very winnable race at Geelong tonight. The daughter of Barcia Bale was a dominant winner at Ballarat three starts back and has worked home well to finish on the heels of her rivals at her two most-recent starts, at this track and distance. This does look an easier task and she can stay away from early trouble from Box 1.
More Donuts has produced several quality efforts this time and will enjoy a step back in class into the sixth at Geelong tonight. The two-year-old has been finishing off his races extremely well and flashed home late to finish fourth down the Healesville straight last time out. His form in longer races is good and he’s rock-hard fit for this assignment.
