The Group 1 Galaxy will be run over the 1100m at Rosehill on Saturday and is shaping as a very interesting race. Two time The Everest winner Redzel is at the top of the market however there are plenty of chances in a very open race.
My 2019 The Galaxy Tips can be found here.
Was not beaten far first up in the Lightning Stakes before he ran fourth in the Newmarket. He has shown plenty of grit and a good turn of foot in his two runs this prep and should be ready to peak third-up.
You just know this tough gelding will not be far away. He was very good chasing Ball Of Muscle first-up in the Challenge Stakes and he will appreciate the step up in distance.
Was excellent in the Oakleigh Plate when running second to Booker over the 1100m but was entitled to finish off a little better in the Newmarket down the Flemington straight. Back to 1100m will suit here and he can run a cheeky race at nice odds for the multiples.
Was left a little flat footed on the turn in the Canterbury Stakes however he picked up well and worked well right through the line. He is a very talented galloper with a lot of upside and it would not surprise if he went close in a race of this quality.
