AUSSIES AIM TO WIN SERIES – EVERYTHING WILL BE FINE WITH CRICKET

Australia will be looking to achieve their first limited series win since Sandpaper-gate as they face India in a T20 International this Thursday at 12:30 am AEDT in Vizag.

This would deliver Australia their maiden T20 series win over the Indians and will give our Cricketers some hope going into the five-game ODI series which starts on Saturday in Hyderabad and of course, the World Cup and Ashes.

The Aussies have not won a limited-overs series since February 2018 when caretaker captain Dave Warner’s team celebrated a T20 title in Auckland over the Kiwis.

How things have changed.

KLOPP COACHES CRAP GAME

In what was an ordinary encounter between Manchester United and Liverpool, the most reliable source for anything – social media believes that Liverpool’s manager Jurgen Klopp gave his assessment to the match to his Man U counterpart Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

When the pair shook hands, it’s alleged that Kloop uttered the words ‘f****** hell, what a s*** game’ to Man U’s boss.

While many expected it to be the match of the round, it most certainly did not live up to the hype. It remains unclear if Klopp actually said it, but you’d struggle to argue he wasn’t telling it like it is.

SALARY CAP RELIEF

In what has been a busy off-season of off-field misdemeanours from Rugby League players, the NRL is set to offer salary cap relief to clubs who have players facing serious criminal charges.

The Daily Telegraph has reported that the Dragons could be in line to be offered $600,000 relief in their cap should Jack de Belin be stood down as he fights serious sexual assault charges.

The ARL Commission is meeting on Thursday to decide the fate of players such as Dylan Walker and de Belin.

Many predict the two will be stood down with full pay until a verdict is reached by the courts.

The NRL plans to do offer the salary cap relief as they don’t want to punish the clubs or their fans for the actions of individuals off the field.
