GOOD MORNING Visakhapat-nam

A critical half-century from Glen Maxwell has led to Australia beating India by three wickets in a thrilling last-ball finish last night in the first T20 International. Pat Cummins hit a four, and a further two runs to complete the 127 run chase and ensure a thrilling victory in Visakhapatnam.

The day belonged to Nathan “Ricki-Lee” Coulter-Nile with a tidy 3/26 with his four overs and received the man of the match award for his efforts.’ Australia next meets India on Bangalore for the second T20 International on Wednesday and Glenn Maxwell’s bid for a spot in the World Cup side is only looking more convincing.

KEPA OFF THE GRASS

Battling a cramp late in the League Cup Final against Manchester City, Chelsea’s goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga was subbed off by manager Maurizio Sarri – but old mate Kepa was having none of it.

Scores were 0-0 when Sarri decided that Kepa needed to come off for Willy Caballero but Kepa made a stand, refused to leave the field and this left Sarri and his assistant Gianfranco Zola confused and furious.

The match went to penalties, Kepa failed to make a simple save off Sergio Aguero and Manchester City ended up winning 4-3.

DRUGS ARE BAD

St.Kilda legend Nick Riewoldt has weighed into the heated discussion of recreational drug use in the AFL telling SEN radio that it’s “Out of Control” amongst AFL players.

According to Riewoldt, the League’s controversial drugs policy allows players to get away using illicit substances without getting into trouble.

Speaking to SEN’s breakfast show Riewoldt said: “It’s out of control now because the players can.” “What the policy is designed to do is to identify players with substance abuse issues and place support around them to protect their health and wellbeing.

“Now, the vast majority of players don’t have substance abuse issues, they’re taking the piss because the system allows it. “Hair testing in the off-season and during the season, that’s only to identify the numbers. There’s no recourse; there are no ramifications; it’s a free-for-all. “It depends what your definition of out of control is, (but) I would say it’s out of control.”
