Miss Petite doesn’t win out of turn, but she’s recorded several pleasing results this time and looks well placed in the fourth at Gosford tonight. The two-year-old daughter of Spring Gun lined up in tough company and was caught behind a wall of traffic at this track and distance last time out, but she has continued to finish off her races well and with appropriate luck tonight, can be fighting out the finish at a nice price.
Lady Cynthia has been airborne this time and will take a power of beating again in the fifth at Gosford tonight. The one-year-old has won each of her last seven starts and has strung together an impressive career record of ten wins and two minors from only sixteen starts. This does look to be her toughest test in a little while, but she has the runs on the board and with even luck, should be winning.
Volt To Excel has produced several well rated performances this time and can return to winning form in the eighth at Gosford tonight. The three-year-old returned from a spell in excellent condition in December and easily won a 400m dash at Richmond, before another decent run to finish third over the same distance, but in tougher company. I like that her runs have been spaced and this looks another very winnable race.
Werina Magic is seeking a fourth-consecutive win when he takes his place in the ninth at Gosford tonight and will be tough to beat. Werina Magic did take a few starts to shake off the cobwebs when resuming in December, but his three most-recent runs have been outstanding, and he has not looked like losing.
