The 2019 Chipping Norton Stakes is dominated in betting, like it has been the last three years, by champion mare Winx. Unless something considerable changes she will be winning the race for a fourth successive year. Who will run in behind her? Find out our tips below.

I think happy Clapper Clapper running second in this race is almost as much a formality as Winx winning it! All this talk of The Autumn Sun and Alizee. This tough as nails galloper is the second best horse in the country. He’s proven it over a sustained period and he was not disgraced by the champ first up. He will be better at the mile however so with Winx.
Unforgotten made up a fair amount of ground and hit the line well first up and she will take benefit from that run. Second up last prep she won the Chelmsford Stakes at this track and distance beating Ace High. There doesn’t seem to be a lot of pace in the race however look for her running on late.
I round out the first four (straight down the line is about the only way you’ll make money on the race) with the enigma that is Egg Tart. She is a very tough mare to catch however her first up run in the Apollo was the run of the race aside from the obvious. She can run fourth.
