Following another midweek round that produced several shock results, Week 25 of the Premier League is in full flight from Saturday night.
Manchester City squandered an opportunity to cut Liverpool’s lead when they suffered a shock loss to Newcastle on Wednesday morning, and they will have their hands full with Arsenal early on Sunday morning.
Following a disappointing draw with Leicester, the Reds will be confident of returning to winning form at the expense of West Ham on Tuesday.

Newcastle enter this one off the back of their biggest win of the season – a come from behind 2-1 win over the red-hot Manchester City. Given their recent form and overall inconsistency, however it’s tough imagining them putting together two performances like that one, particularly against Spurs. Happy to be with the home side.

This looks like being one of the better contests of the weekend and a case to be made for both Burnley and Southampton. The Clarets were 2-0 up over Manchester United late in their Week 24 tie but squandered the opportunity to win late, and a repeat of that performance would surely be too much for this Southampton side to contain.

Chelsea were another shock loser midweek, but they’re offered the perfect opportunity to respond when they host the last-placed Terriers. Huddersfield were handed another defeat by Everton most-recent and face a far tougher task in this one.

Brighton have slipped into a worrying run of form and are facing a potential fourth-straight defeat here. The Hornets blew a chance to take points away from Spurs midweek and they are another team who can win this round, should they muster a similar performance. They are over the odds in head-to-head betting for this one.

The Cottagers recorded a much-needed win over Brighton midweek and will be quietly confident of making it two in a row when they travel across London on Sunday. Palace have been inconsistent, but also more than capable of a good performance and deserve favouritism for this one. This seems to have draw written all over it.

Another terrific contest is shaping between the seventh-placed Wolves and eighth-placed Toffees at Goodison Park on Saturday night. Both clubs are in winning form and each will be eager and confident of another positive result in this one. Wolves really seem to be building to something and I am happy to take them as outsiders.

Bournemouth enter this match in search of a third-consecutive win and more importantly, off the back of a 4-0 thrashing of Chelsea. The Cherries have produced several outstanding performances this season and continue a climb back into the top ten, and they’re faced with another great opportunity to dispatch a lowly opponent.

Leicester have dipped into a disappointing run of form and face a tough task in overcoming United this week. The Red Devils only managed a draw with Burnley midweek and while is was their first match that didn’t end in a win since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to the reins, they’re primed to atone here.

This is clearly the match of the round but realistically, City should be winning. The Cityzens suffered a shock loss to Newcastle midweek, but they’ve been otherwise outstanding and should prove too good for an Arsenal side that has been capable of an off performance of their own.

The Reds also stumbled midweek, but not as badly and City and Chelsea and they still managed to open their lead by another point. The face a Hammers side that hasn’t been great recently and ultimately, this should be another three points for the league leaders.
