Australia and India will meet in the second ODI at the Adelaide Oval today and I am happy to continue riding the home side while they are in winning form. The Aussies restored a bit of pride in the jersey when they walked away from the SCG 34-run victors and the result is sure to have garnished plenty of confidence. I don’t understand why India have been priced as such firm favourites and they are under the odds.
The down and seemingly out Brisbane Roar will host reigning champions Melbourne Victory tonight and face a huge task in reversing their recent run of form. Brisbane’s recent woes certainly have not been cured since the club parted ways with manager John Aloisi and they suffered another defeat at the hands of Melbourne City over the weekend. The Victory are simply a class above and anything over even money in head-to-head betting looks an outstanding bet.
Australia’s place in the knockout stage of the Asian Cup goes on the line tonight when they meet Syria in their third and final Pool game. The Aussies suffered a shock 1-0 loss to Jordan first-up, but responded with an easy win over Palestine last time out, and a similar performance would see them winning this one easily too. Syria lack any real potency in front of goal and I am confident that the Socceroos will win and hold them goalless.
