We’re set for a pretty notable mismatch in the A-League tonight when Sydney FC host the inconsistent Brisbane Roar. The Sky Blues remain third, within one win of top spot on the ladder after another solid performance, this time an away win over the league-leading Glory. The Roar meanwhile had no answers for the Wellington Phoenix and return from New Zealand off a 4-1 hiding. I think Sydney will win and win well.
This should be an outstanding game and while the Kings do deserve favouritism at home, I give the Bullets a real shot at winning. The Bullets’ outstanding run of form continued in Round 10 with a comfortable win over the Wildcats at home, while it was so-so for the Kings, who did take top by beating the Taipans in Cairns, but who did drop all the points to Melbourne United most recently. The Brisbane team can certainly cover a line currently set at three and a half points.
