Round 10 of the NBL continues across the ditch this evening and we’re set for an intriguing contest between the Breakers and Illawarra Hawks. The Breakers certainly have not enjoyed their best start to a season this time around and they remain second-last in overall standings, having recorded only five wins through their first thirteen games. The Hawks have been far better than most expected them to be and they are good enough to cover a line currently set at 5 points.
The A-League week is underway with a big when the Glory host Sydney FC in the nation’s west. It has been an outstanding start to the season for the table-topping Glory, who continued their winning form with an easy 2-0 triumph over the Jets in Newcastle. Sydney continued their outstanding form against the Wanderers by winning the Derby but face a far tougher assignment here.
We’re nearly halfway through the Premier League season and the Reds can consolidated their position atop standings by beating Wolves early tomorrow morning. They have been simply outstanding this campaign and even against a side that has returned to winning form like Wolves, they should simply be too good. The Reds defence is second to none and it’s tough imagining them being too worried by Wolves here.
A slightly more consecutive multi and only two legs in today’s NHL fixtures. The Maple Leafs look like they’ll be a force come season’s end and they should be too good for the inconsistent Florida Panthers in Canada. The San Jose Sharks remain one of the toughest road trips in the league and they represent great value to defeat the Jets today.
