The Cowboys will host the Saints in Dallas this afternoon and the away side will look to take the game away from the home team by scoring first and controlling from the outset. Alvin Kamara has scored 15 touchdowns this season and his dual-threat ability through the ground and the air also means that he’s a threat from anywhere on the field. He looks a great option to score the first TD.
Things have gone from bad to worse for the Taipans, who have still managed only one win from their first nine games. They were easily accounted for by the 36ers in Adelaide last week and face another big task in the Hawks. The Hawks were beaten by the Bullets in Brisbane last week, but they’ve managed a few good performances in recent weeks and are probably unlucky not to be sporting a better record than 4-7. Their most recent win over Adelaide was outstanding and a repeat of that performance would see them winning this game. I think they are a better team than Cairns and I am happy to take the $2.25 currently on offer in head-to-head betting.
Week 5 winners Adelaide and Brisbane will do battle on Friday night and both teams have live claims on winning. The Roar undoubtedly produced their best performance of the season to sink Melbourne City and several passages of play suggested they could be a legitimate championship threat this time around. Adelaide is a tough road trip and the draw looms as a potentially lucrative betting play.
Former WBO Welterweight Champion Jeff Horn will fight veteran Anthony Mundine at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium tonight. Horn enters this fight off the back of his first-ever professional loss; a ninth-round TKO at the hands of arguably the world’s best pound-for-pound fighter, Terence Crawford. This is a huge step back in class, however and the forty-three-year-old Mundine looks to stand little chance. I’m confident this fight will not go the distance and Horn to win by KO or TKO represents great value at $2.10.
