Dubbo: Race 2 (1:50pm AEDT)
No. 11 Philadora

Philadora will take plenty of benefit into her second-up assignment at Dubbo this afternoon and looks the one to beat. The four-year-old was settled at the tail of the field at Muswellbrook last time out and mustered a smart turn of foot to run second behind Anchois. Greg Ryan can settle the mare behind the pace from barrier 9 and she’ll be hard to hold out.

Tatura: Race 5 (2pm AEDT)
No. 4 Zelsignoret

Zelsignoret has been racing well this time and will be hard to beat at Tatura this afternoon. The daughter of Snitzel has typically been racing in tougher company than she finds today and was a smart winner at Kyneton three starts back, before credible efforts for fourth at Pakenham and third at Stawell most recently. The step up in trip looks ideal at this point of her preparation and she’ll be given every chance by Dean Yendall.

Rockhampton: Race 4 (4:35pm AEDT)
No. 2 Ragazzo Del Corsa

Ragazzo Del Corsa has not been seen at the races since June, but he has a class edge over the lion’s share of his rivals at Rockhampton today and can make a winning return. The Stratum gelding has been a strong and consistent performer since arriving in the care of John O’Sing in March this year and posted three wins in his first four starts for the Rockhampton-based horseman. He’s drawn ideally and should be right in the finish.

Rockhampton: Race 6 (5:50pm AEDT)
No. 8 Mystic Forces

Mystic Forces has returned to racing in slick form this time and is over the odds at his current price in the sixth at Rockhampton this afternoon ($9 at the time of publish). The Oamaru Force gelding ran second in the Rockhampton Newmarket in September and has continued to produce high-quality performances through four subsequent starts; winning once and finishing in the places three times. He’s drawn ideally, weighted well and up to winning a race of this calibre.
