The Packers will host the 49ers in the final Week 6 NFL game this morning and are justifiable favourites to win. They did weather a disappointing loss on the road to the Lions last weekend, but the Packers are the kind of team that will respond to the demoralising performance. The 49ers have also lost a couple of key players and given they have struggled against the pass all season, it could be a particularly long night at the office opposite Aaron Rodgers.
It’s obviously going to be a bit of a slow burner, but Pakistan and Australia will square off in the second of their two-test series in Abu Dhabi from this afternoon and the home side will be extremely difficult to beat. The Aussies pulled off the seemingly impossible when they managed to hold on for a draw in Dubai but a repeat of that performance would surely seem the lose here. Pakistan will be eager to take a win and they represent good value at $1.85.
There were few shining lights for the Aussies in Dubai, but Usman Khawaja was clearly the best on ground and I am confident that he will again top score for Australia in the first innings. Having notched a well-crafted 85 in the first innings, Khawaja was again outstanding in the final two days of play and his 141 second innings total was key to Australia avoiding the loss. He’ll enjoy the conditions again and at $3.75, he looks over the odds to top score again.
