Once upon a time this would have been the game of the season, but we’re still set for a great contest when the Pats and Colts square off in Foxborough this morning. Neither team have found their best form through the first four weeks of the season, but there is upside to both rosters and it should turn out to be a pretty decent arm wrestle. While I expect the Patriots to take the lead early, their performances so far have suggested that a team of the Colts’ calibre is good enough to compete.
Vegas were simply outstanding in their debut season and can get their second campaign underway on the right foot when they host the Philadelphia Flyers this afternoon. The Flyers won a playoff berth last season but were immediately bungled out by the Penguins and there is something of a question mark over their 2018/19 campaign; it looks as though they’ll either be world beating, or they will crash and burn. The Golden Knights deserve favouritism and there looks to be good value in even money.
West Ham have started to find terrific form and they look over the odds to beat the lowly Brighton on the road, early tomorrow morning. Brighton recorded a few good results early in the campaign, but their form has well and truly levelled out and they are firmly entrenched in the bottom half of the table. Following a horror start, West Ham have quickly started moving away from danger and posted a dominant 3-1 win over Manchester United last week. This is another ideal opportunity for the Hammers to secure three competition points.
