The Texans will host the Dolphins in Week 8’s opener this morning and I think the home side will be too good. Houston have won four-straight leading into this game and their pass rush should simply be too much for Dolphins’ QB Brock Osweiler to handle. The Dolphins defence has also been leaky of late and I’m expecting the Texans to control the game from the outset, offensively.
Adelaide United will take plenty of benefit into their second match of the season tonight and I am confident that they will beat the Newcastle Jets. I didn’t give Adelaide much hope in their first-up clash with Sydney FC, but they mustered a tough performance to take a point from the league’s benchmark club. Newcastle were very disappointing in New Zealand last weekend and would need to improve drastically to compete with Adelaide.
The 36ers will travel to Adelaide tonight and should prove a handful for the hit-and-miss home side. The Taipans opened their account with an impressive win over the Bullets in Brisbane, but they were unable to frank that form and result when they slipped to a comfortable defeat to wooden spoon favourites the Illawarra Hawks in Cairns, last weekend. The 36ers have produced several performances to suggest that they will be in the finals again this season, and they can cover a line currently set at only 1.5 points tonight.
