The last game in the first week of NRL finals will take place in Brisbane this afternoon and we are set for a thrilling contest between the Broncos and Dragons. The Broncos have found a nice vein of form recently and enter this game as resounding favourites following comfortable wins over Souths, The Roosters and Manly most-recently. St George’s form has undoubtedly dipped since the Origin period, but nothing really is expected of them here and I am confident that they can cover a line that looks massive (10.5 points).
The final of the US Open men’s draw will take place tonight and we are set for an outstanding match between Juan Martin Del Potro and Novak Djokovic. Both players have been at the top of their game throughout the tournament and neither would look out of place in the winner’s stall. Djokovic has cruised into this point of the tournament off the back of a few dominant performances, while Del Potro received a soft entry into the decider after Rafael Nadal was forced to retire partway through yesterday’s semi-final. Whichever way it falls, this certainly looks like going the distance.
Daily Three-Leg Multi
There’s plenty of MLB action set to take place today and our three-leg multi includes the two New York franchises and the Diamondbacks all to win their respective games. The Mets have been competitive of late and should be too good for the Phillies at home. The Diamondbacks are well and truly in the hunt in the highly-competitive NL West and will be a big task for the travelling Braves this morning. The Yankees will need to be at their best, but can take a win on the road against the Mariners.
