Daily Sports Tips – Sunday, September 2

Marin Cilic vs De Minaur (10am)
4 Sets ($3)

Aussie Alex De Minaur has been outstanding at the US Open but he faces a huge task in overcoming multiple Grand Slam champion Marin Cilic. De Minaur opened his account with a dominant win over Japan’s Taro Daniel, in which he dropped only three games, before overcoming American Francis Tiafoe in four. The seventh-seed Cilic really should be winning this match but I am confident that De Minaur can take a set.

Brisbane Broncos vs Manly Sea Eagles (4:10pm)
Manly at the Line (+11.5)

The Broncos will host the Sea Eagles in the final game of the NRL regular season this afternoon and I am confident that the away side can put on something of a performance. The Broncos are playing for a home final, but they’ve been pretty inconsistent and will be without Andrew McCullough for this. Its been a disappointing 2018 for the proud Northern Beaches club and they have failed to make anything of an impact. They have typically been better against top eight teams and their record in Brisbane recently is good. They might not win, but they can cover a line currently set at 11.5 points.

Cardiff City vs Arsenal (10:30pm)
Arsenal to Win to Nil ($2.70)

New boys Cardiff face another difficult task when they host Arsenal in Wales tonight. The Bluebirds are yet to post their first win in the Premier League this season, but have improved slightly week-on-week and enter this match off the back of two 0-0 draws. Arsenal got their campaign on track with a comfortable win over West Ham last weekend and they can go on with the job with a dominant win this week.

Watford vs Tottenham Hotspur (1am Monday)
Draw ($4.15)

This is obviously Watford’s toughest task to date in the 2018/19 Premier League season, but I am confident that they can take a point in front of their home fans. The Hornets at undefeated heading into Week 4 and they have produced three outstanding performances to secure nine potentially vital competition points. Spurs are also undefeated but given their standing in the league, that is less surprising. $4.15 looks over the odds for these two clubs to share the spoils in current form and I am happy to take that price.
