The Cubs face a stiff task in the in-form Pirates in Pittsburgh this morning, but they will field a strong ball team and can continue to consolidate their position atop standings in the NL Central. Its been an intriguing battle between the Chicago franchise and the Milwaukee Brewers this season, but the Cubs have continued to respond to the threat and delivered the Cardinals a comfortable defeat away from home on Monday. It will be tight, but they do have a slight edge over their divisional rivals here.
The West Indies and Bangladesh square off in the first of their three-match Twenty20 series this morning and the home side will be looking to atone for a disappointing loss in their recent fifty over series. The West Indians will be without Chris Gayle today and that obviously leaves a massive hole at the top of the order, while Bangladesh will field a near full-strength side. The West Indians are clearly better in this format of the game and should be winning, but Bangladesh can put up a fight.
Adelaide United and the Central Coast Mariners will square off in the FFA Cup Round of 32 tonight and we are set for a great contest between a couple of clubs that will be looking to improve in the forthcoming A-League season. All eyes really will be on the Mariners, who enter this match as relative unknowns after a host of off-season changes to their squad. They are a team that tends to punch above their weight, however and in the FFA Cup they can compete. They look over the odds at their current price in head-to-head betting but particularly in the draw no bet market.
