Manly appear to have clawed themselves away from the wooden spoon and they can put it beyond doubt by beating the Titans at home this evening. Its been a season to forget for the proud Northern Beaches club and that appears to have resulted in the departure of coach Trent Barrett. The Titans have been extremely difficult to trust from a betting perspective again and blew an outstanding chance at a win when they were pipped on the line by the Panthers last week. Manly should be winning this game and at a great price.
The reigning premiers will look to consolidate their position atop standings by beating the desperate Bombers tonight. Its been an outstanding title defence for the Tigers so far and they really are the benchmark heading into September. The Bombers are also amidst a competitive run of form but potentially blew their finals chances by losing to the Hawks by only three points a fortnight ago. They will probably stick with Richmond for the first three quarters tonight, but could tire late.
The Storm have suffered losses to fellow top eight sides the Rabbitohs and Sharks in their two most-recent games but are offered a terrific opportunity to get the campaign back on track when the host the lowly Eels tonight. Parramatta are amidst a truly awful year, particularly in considering that they were touted as a top four prospect and the end of the season cannot come quickly enough. They did deliver the Dragons an absolute flogging last week, but that club is well and truly on the slide and it’s tough seeing them repeat that effort against a club of Melbourne’s calibre.

There’s plenty of value on offer in today’s MLB markets and a nice price to be taken for the Cardinals, Twins and Diamondbacks to win their games respectively. The Cardinals have found a decent run of form and should be too good for the Nationals this morning. The Twins were too good for the Pirates yesterday and can repeat that effort and result. The Diamondbacks were too good for the Rangers two days ago and face an easier prospect in the Padres.
