Canterbury: Race 3 (2:30pm)
No. 3 Greysful Glamour

Greysful Glamour has not been seen at the races since autumn, but she is a horse with a fair amount of ability and can go close first-up at Canterbury today. The daughter of Stratum produced a number of handy efforts and result during her debut campaign and broke her maiden at Newcastle before a decent on-pace performance for fourth in the Listed China Horse Club Mile (1600m) last time out. The step back from black type company into this is obviously ideal and she’ll run fitter for multiple trials.

Sunshine Coast: Race 5 (2:48pm)
No. 4 Not Surprising

Not Surprising is yet to show her best form this time, but she’s ready to peak fourth-up in a very winnable race on the Sunshine Coast this afternoon. The daughter of I Am Invincible has worked home fairly to finish midfield in each of her three stars so far and was last seen finishing fifth after interference over 1200m at Gosford. This looks to be a pretty noticeable step back in class and she’ll be hard to beat with Jeff Lloyd aboard.

Canterbury: Race 6 (4:15pm)
No. 8 Za Zi Ba

Za Zi Ba is another horse that will resume from a spell and step back from black type company into a race at Canterbury today. The daughter of All Too Hard is a proven first-up performer and successfully worked through the grades during her autumn prep this year; eventually finishing fourth in the Listed Fireball Stakes (1100m) and third in the Listed Darby Munro Stakes (1200m) most notably. She’s trialled well in the lead-up to this race and can return to winning form.

Canterbury: Race 7 (4:50pm)
No. 2 Valentino Rossa

Valentino Rossa appears to have been crying out for an increase in trip and he’ll enjoy 1900m at Canterbury this afternoon. The son of Testa Rossa has steadily improved with racing and increased distance this time and ran on for fourth in a mile race at Warwick Farm two starts back, before repeating that effort for fifth over the same track and distance last week. He can settle a little closer from barrier 5 today and will prove tough to hold out.
