No. 1 Encryption

The beautifully-bred Encryption will resume in an open edition of the Group 3 Up And Coming Stakes this afternoon and can fight into the finish of the race after drawing the rails. By Lonhro and out of multiple Group 1 winner Guelph, Encryption won the Group 3 Black Opal Stakes (1400m) most notably as a two-year-old and ended his season with consecutive sixth-placings in the Group 1 Inglis Sires’ (1400m) and Group 1 Champagne Stakes (1600m). You can take $10 for Encryption at the time of publish and that does look over the odds.

Gold Coast: Race 8 (3:52pm)
No. 4 Sold For Song

Sold For Song absolutely flies fresh and she can salute at a nice price on the Gold Coast this afternoon. The Collate mare has not been seen at the races in 2018, but she was outstanding through her campaign last year and stormed home to finish second in the Group 2 Gilgai Stakes (1200m) first-up in October. This is a big step back in class from her most-recent efforts and she has the ability to beat race favourite Dal Cielo, who has struggled to find winning form this time in.

Caulfield: Race 8 (4:40pm)
No. 3 Osborne Bulls

Osborne Bulls has not been seen at the races since May, but he is yet to miss a place through ten career starts and will be extremely difficult to beat this afternoon. The son of Street Cry stormed home to win at this track and trip first-up last time and continued to impress on his way to a maiden black type win in the Listed Luskin Star Stakes (1300m) most recently. He’s trialled well in the lead-up to this, is yet to miss first-up and has a class edge over his rivals.

Randwick: Race 9 (5pm)
No. 5 Kaonic

Kaonic flew home to win at this track and distance first-up and he’ll only take benefit into the final race at Randwick this afternoon. The son of Savabeel has been a strong and consistent performer throughout his entire racing career so far and worked home well to finish sixth in Group 1 company most notably in autumn. His second-up record is great, Hugh Bowman is a big tick and he’s drawn to get a beautiful run in transit.
