Best Bets
Goulburn: Race 3 (1:45pm)
No. 5 Rumba Queen

Rumba Queen has been inconsistent through three starts this time in, but she has drawn ideally today and is primed for a return to winning form. The daughter of I Am Invincible resumed for a close second over this course and distance in April but did not respond to an increase in trip second-up and turned in a lacklustre performance. She ran on well after missing the jump last time out and won’t be offered a better opportunity to return to winning form than what she gets this afternoon.

Beaudesert: Race 7 (4:05pm)
No. 6 American Muscle

American Muscle has been pretty inconsistent this time, but steps back from city class into Race 7 at Beaudesert this afternoon and can return to winning form. The All American gelding was a smart winner at Grafton two starts back, but ran into a wet track at the Sunshine Coast last time out and finished seventh. He’ll enjoy a return to firmer ground today and will be tough to beat at this grade.

Goulburn: Race 7 (4:20pm)
No. 5 Polar Blast

Polar Blast has been a strong and consistent performer for Gerald Ryan this time in and will be hard to beat at Goulburn this afternoon. The Smart Missile gelding hasn’t missed a place through five starts this time and worked home well to finish third amongst decent company at Hawkesbury last time out. He should be able to find a position close to the pace from gate 7 and he looks to have a class edge over most of this field.

Best Each-Way Bet
Goulburn: Race 4 (2:25pm)
No. 11 Receipt

Receipt faces a rise in class at Goulburn today, but has found excellent form this time and looks over the odds at her current double-figure quote. The High Chaparral mare tuned up with a credible performance for second at Boorowa first-up, before hitting the line well for a half-length win at Young last time out. She drops 3kgs from that run and can fight her way into the first three.
