Dossier has not been seen at the races for nearly a year, but he has trialled extremely well in the lead-up to his return at Wyong this afternoon. The son of Sebring was very green during his debut preparation, but has been gelded and looks ready to go. He’s drawn ideally in barrier 2 and has the added advantage of in-form hoop Rachael King in the saddle. This looks a very winnable race.
Merrimen has returned to racing in smart form this time and finds himself in another very winnable race this afternoon. Having won over 1300m at Sandown in March, the Sebring gelding ran fourth amongst decent company at Echuca in late April before returning to winning form in dominant fashion at Bendigo last time out. This race does not look any harder and with Brad Rawiller in the saddle, he’ll be hard to beat.
Maid Marilyn has not shown her best form through two starts this time in, but steps back in class into Race 8 at Wyong today and will be tough to beat. Maid Marilyn The Stratum filly will take plenty of benefit into her third-up run here and is drawn ideally to find a position on-pace from gate 4. She is definitely the horse to beat.

Purely Royal ran on well to finish fifth at Bairnsdale first-up and with natural improvement, he can find his way into the first three at Ballarat this afternoon. The Purrealist gelding typically improves with racing and he can slot in into a position behind the pace from barrier 7 before calling on his turn of foot. He could prove over the odds at a double-figure quote.
