Madame Moustache will have her first run for Robbie Griffiths at Pakenham this afternoon and is right up to the class of this race, on her previous campaigns. Formerly saddled by Chris Waller, the Hinchinbrook filly has performed well amongst black type company previously and is generally strong first-up. She will need to overcome a wide barrier, but looks over the odds at an each-way quote.
Emoji has produced a few good performances without finding winning form this time, but steps back from Saturday-grade company into Race 7 at Pakenham this afternoon and is a live chance. The Denman gelding is rock-hard fit and is backing up after only five days, but is drawn ideally and has the benefit of claiming apprentice Trent Germaine in the saddle.
Four White Fox did not enjoy the soft-going at Belmont last time out, but finds himself back on a good track at Pinjarra today and can return to winning form. The son of Foxwedge ran second in a pair of minors over 1400m and 1500m respectively in Mya, before returning to winning form over a mile at Belmont two runs back. He’s drawn ideally today and has the notable advantage of William Pike in the saddle.
New Age has been a strong and consistent performer throughout her entire racing career so far and is beautifully placed at Pinjarra this afternoon. The four-year-old returned from a spell for a dominant win over a mile at Pinjarra on April 27th but turned in a rare lacklustre performance last time out. A rise in trip looks ideal and she is also drawn ideally, with Pike aboard.
