Ipswich: Race 2 (12:10pm)
No. 6 Time Lord

Kiwi raider Time Lord has been in excellent form this time and finished third in the Group 2 Valachi Downs Championship across the Tasman, before winning a mile race on the Sunshine Coast and placing sixth in the Group 3 Grand Prix Stakes. This is a step back in class and he looks like the horse to beat at Ipswich today.

Ipswich: Race 3 (12:42pm)
No. 1 Parko

Parko will carry winning form into his fourth-up run at Ipswich today and finds himself in another very winnable race. The Smart Missile gelding ran second on heavy going a the Gold Coast first-up before racing third amongst decent company, also on the Gold Coast in late May. He was simply outstanding last time out, however and delivered a Gold Coast field a near seven-length defeat. He does face a rise in class today, but he’s drawn ideally and can continue his journey through the grades.

Ipswich: Race 7 (3:17pm)
No. 2 Tradesman (FAT ODDS)

Tradesman carries terrific form into this afternoon’s Ipswich Cup and will be tough to beat in the feature race. The Trade Fair gelding took a couple of starts to find peak condition this time, but returned to winning form with a dominant performance during the Warrnambool Festival. He was outclassed in the Group 1 Doomben Cup (2000m), but returned an impressive performance to finish second behind Egg Tart in the Group 2 PJ O’Shea Stakes (2200m) last time out. There is no horse of Egg Tart’s quality in this field and while Tradesman is odds-on in regular Ipswich Cup betting, you can take around $2 in our lucrative Fat Odds market.

Best Each-Way Bet
Rosehill: Race 8 (3:45pm)
No. 3 Nictock

Nictock was unlucky not to hold on for the win first-up at Rosehill and will take plenty of benefit into Race 8 this afternoon. The Nicconi gelding has been a strong and consistent performer for Cameron Crockett throughout his entire racing career to date and will take his position in this field with an impressive record of seven wins and two minors, from only ten starts. He has the early speed to overcome a wide draw and is over the odds at a double-figure quote.
