Moralist will resume at Goulburn this afternoon and finds himself in a very winnable race. The Uncle Mo gelding has only made one appearance at the races previously and immediately stamped himself as a horse to follow by comfortably winning over 1200m at Wagga in November. He has trialled well in the lead-up to this race and will be tough to beat.
Palace Tycoon will carry winning form into Race 1 at Toowoomba this afternoon and will prove extremely difficult to beat. The Testa Rossa gelding blew off the cobwebs when second behind Slydini on the Gold Coast first-up in May, before leading all the way over 1350m at Ipswich last time out. Trainer Tony Sears has elected to scratch the horse from a Saturday race to run here and he will be right in the finish.
Seracena has not been seen at the races since October, but she is a mare with plenty of ability and looks to have a class edge over the bulk of her rivals at Geelong today. The daughter of So You Think typically comes to hand quickly and is yet to miss a place first-up. She has drawn ideally into this field in barrier 4 and will be tough to hold out.

American Xpressx has only made one appearance at the races so far, but is sure to have taken plenty of benefit from the experience and is a live chance at great odds this to win at Geelong. The All American was settled off the pace over 1100m on the turf track on debut and mustered a decent turn of foot to run on for third. A rise in trip looks ideal and this is no harder a task.
