Best Bets
Penrith Panthers v Wests Tigers
Panthers to beat the line (-4.5 points)

The Panthers currently sit in second spot on the NRL ladder and have won their last three games. Halfback Nathan Cleary comes back into the side in a move that will force James Maloney back to the five-eighth. Maloney has been in sensational form and has been the catalyst behind Penrith’s rise in the NRL standings. The Tigers broke a three-game slump last week against the Cowboys and will have their hands full taking on the Panthers in Penrith. It won’t be a happy return for former coach Ivan Cleary to Penrith Stadium and I’m backing the younger Cleary to get the points over his old-man with the Panthers extending their run for another week.

Royal Challengers Bangalore v Sunrisers Hyderabad
AB de Villers to top score ($3.10)

It’s do or die for the Challengers in their clash with the Sunrisers. A win for RCB will keep them in the running for a spot in the finals with two games to go in the competition. The Sunrisers have already qualified thanks to the leadership of Kiwi skipper Kane Williamson and Shikar Dhawan. The Challengers have one of the best batting cards in world cricket that includes Quinton De Kock, Brendon McCullum, de Villers and Kohli. De Villers has been in sensational form, hitting his 34th half century of the IPL against the Daredevils. AB de Villers will be the difference again and the South African maestro will be amongst the runs in what looms as a must-win game for Virat Kohli’s side

Best Outsiders
Houston Rockets v Golden State Warriors
Warriors to win ($2.05)

The Rockets will be hurting from their first game loss to the Warriors at home and will come out swinging in what looms as a crucial game before the series heads to California. The Rockets have been able to match the scoring feats of the Warriors this season and are more than capable of levelling the series. With the Warriors at these odds, there’s value in backing the champs to go 2-0 up with a trip back home on the horizon. The Rockets struggled at the defensive end of the court and the match-up against Kevin Durant is causing some serious issues for Houston. The champs are good value in the market to grab another win.

Washington Nationals v New York Yankees
Yankees to win ($2.50)

Game one against these two sides was suspended due to inclement weather but the Yankees will be itching to get back out on the field against the Nationals. The Yankees know how to rally from a deficit and have been on fire with their offence over the last month of the season. The good times will continue for the Brooklyn Bombers on the road and they have the momentum to notch a convincing win in the second game of the series.

Best Multi-Bet
Vegas Knights v Winnipeg Jets
Golden Knights to win ($2.15)

They may be the new kids on the block, but the Knights are on a golden run and they have the potential to go all the way to the Stanley Cup Finals. The Knights enter the game three with the series locked at 1-1, the Knights will be looking to use their speed across their line-up to maintain the pressure on the Jets and the side from Vegas should be able to edge Canada’s last hope in close game three.

Vancouver Whitecaps v San Jose Earthquakes
Whitecaps to win ($1.75)

The Earthquakes come into the game with some positive form under their belt after grabbing their second win of the season against Minnesota and snapping a seven-game slump in the process. The Whitecaps have had the better run this season and expect them to get all three points in a close win

Los Angeles Angels v Houston Astros
Astros to win ($1.74)

The Astros rallied to take the second game of their series against the Angels thanks to Jose Altuve hitting the go-ahead run in a tense victory. The champs have picked up from where they left off last season and have been in outstanding form at the beginning of this campaign. The Astros sit on the top of the AL West standings and should be able to continue their red-hot form with another win against the Angels in the third game of the series.
