The Broncos have bounced back from a horrible performance against the Sea Eagles with a get out of jail win against the Roosters last week at home. Injuries have taken a toll on Brisbane this season, but they have managed to win two out of their last three fixtures at Suncorp Stadium. The Eels have managed two wins across the first eleven rounds of the competition and will struggle to play finals football this season. Parramatta coach Brad Arthur has swapped Corey Norman to fullback in a bid to spark the Eel’s attack to life in this contest. Parramatta have struggled on the road this season and I’m backing the Broncos in this clash.
The Celtics haven’t had the best record on the road during the postseason and will be happy to be back at the TD Garden. While the Celtics have an enviable record at home, the Cavs are proven performers on the biggest stage in basketball. Cleveland are back in this series thanks to the efforts of LeBron James and I’m expecting the best player in the league to help the Cavs steal a game in Boston and take control of the Conference Finals with a triple-double performance. Cleveland have the experience to get the job done in game five.
Best Roughie
The top two teams in the National League East will clash in the final game of their regular series. While Philadelphia scored a convincing 3-0 win in the opening game of the series, the Braves were able to reverse the scoreline in game two. The Braves have come out with a positive result in seven of their last eleven games against the Phillies and they’ve won their last four series during the regular season. Atlanta are good value to get the win in a tight contest.
Best Outsider
The Indians have a real opportunity to make some noise when they finish a two-game series against Chicago. These two sides are playing at Wrigley Field for the first time since they clashed in the 2016 World Series and the Indians will be looking for the sweep. Cleveland have won two of their last three clashes against the Cubs and a win here would see them extend their lead after a slow start to the season. The Indians were outstanding in the opening game of the series and they should go and pick up another valuable win on the road.
Best Three-Leg Multi
American Jack Sock will look to ramp up his preparation for the French Open when he takes on compatriot Taylor Fitz in the ATP event in Lyon. Sock has won two out of his last three clashes with Fitz and will be wanting to continue his good run of form leading into Paris. Dominic Thiem has been outstanding on clay this season with an appearance in the final of the Madrid Masters. The world No. 5 is playing well and should be able to record a win over Spanish veteran Guillermo Garcia-Lopez. St Helens have been in good form in the Super League and will be looking for another win against Castleford to cement their place at the top of the standings.
