Best Bet
Richmond v North Melbourne
Richmond to cover the line (-26.5 points)

While the Kangaroos have been punching above their weight in the early rounds of the competition, they may struggle to contain Dustin Martin when they clash with the Tigers. The Kangaroos were impressive against Sydney but will struggle to match Richmond’s pace and appetite for a physical contest. IT’s hard to look past the Tigers at the moment and I think they should be able to go out and cover the line in an easy win.

South Sydney v St George Illawarra
Dragons to beat the line (-4.5 points)

The Dragons have remained at the top of the NRL ladder for another week, thanks to back to back wins against the Roosters and the Storm. St George have been extremely lucky with injuries and will be looking to repeat their win over the Rabbitohs in round five. South Sydney have moved into fifth on the NRL ladder and have found some winning form of late. The Rabbitohs welcome back enforcer Sam Burgess and after a return from his second suspension, he’ll be primed to take on a dominant St George forward pack. The Dragons are in outstanding form and I’m backing them to beat the line.

Best Outsiders
Collingwood v Geelong
Collingwood to win ($2.35)

Collingwood have a genuine opportunity to continue the good form that they have shown of late when they take on Geelong at the MCG. The Cats will be without Tom Hawkins and Daniel Menzel and may struggle to kick a winning score against an enthusiastic Magpies side. Collingwood will miss the output of Scott Pendlebury in midfield but have enough depth to be able to contain Joel Selwood and Patrick Dangerfield. The Magpies should be able to grind out a win after being given a scare by the Lions last week.

Canberra v Cronulla
Cronulla to win ($2.50)

The Raiders may have found some form winning four of their last five games, but the Sharks are on a three-match streak and will be buoyed by the return of the inspirational Paul Gallen. This will be a physical encounter and the battle between Gallen and Canberra forward Josh Papalli will make for some interesting viewing. The Sharks have had the Raiders measure for some time now and while the Green Machine has found some form of late, I’m backing the Sharks to grind out a close win.
