Best Bets
Hawthorn v West Coast
West Coast to win 1-24 points ($3.30)

West Coast stunned the premiers last week in Perth and will be looking for their ninth consecutive win when they take on Hawthorn in Melbourne. The Hawks were overwhelmed by the Lions last week at the Gabba and will be expecting to bounce back to form against the Eagles. Hawthorn hasn’t lost to the Eagles in Melbourne since 2006 and will be hoping to continue their dominance over the Eagles. West Coast have one of the most potent forward lines in the competition and after their win over GWS in Sydney in Round 8, the Eagles may have turned a corner. I’m backing the Eagles to continue their stunning run of form and score a two-goal win against their former Grand Final opponents.

Houston Rockets v Golden State Warriors
Rockets to win ($1.96)

The two best scoring teams in the league will battle for a place in the NBA Finals at the Oracle Arena. The Warriors will be determined to bounce back here with a win after the Rockets were able to sneak away with a win when the two teams clashed in game four. Steph Curry and Kevin Durant will be looking for a big performance and the opportunity to defend their NBA title when they go up against James Harden and Chris Paul. Expect a high-scoring affair and I’m backing the Rockets to get the win.

Best Outsider
2018 Monaco F1 Grand Prix
Dan Ricciardo to win ($3.25)

While Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel have traded wins in the early rounds of the Formula One season, Aussie Dan Ricciardo has been in outstanding form across the first few races of the year. The Aussie was able to nab a valuable win and has recorded one of the fastest lap times across the first rounds of qualifying to earn a place at the front of the grid. The tight Monaco street circuit is tailor-made for Red Bull and Dan Ricciardo has a real opportunity to finish on top of the podium.

Best Three-Leg Multi
Cronulla, Fremantle, Nadal
Combined Odds @ $2.77

Cronulla have been in outstanding form across the first few rounds of the competition and will be looking for another win when they come up against the Knights. Newcastle are missing the influence of Mitchell Pearce in the halves and will be hoping that can remain competitive against one of the form teams of the competition. Fremantle will be happy to be back playing at Optus Stadium, but face a difficult assignment against the Kangaroos. North Melbourne continue to play with some real passion but may struggle to notch a win in Perth. French Open champion Rafael Nadal is set to begin his campaign for another title, and the clay court king should have little difficulty in progressing to the second round.
