Sir Owen will make his highly-anticipated racing debut at Warwick Farm today and looks ready to go after trialling well. By prominent sire Fastnet Rock, Sir Owen is out of the successful mare Mica’s Pride and is therefore a full brother to Group 1 winner Comin’ Through and a half-brother to multiple Group 1 champion Criterion. Obviously, he has to put it all together on the track but on breeding alone, he looks to have a big edge over his rivals today.
Sweet Victory is on a seven-day back-up and finds herself in another very winnable race at Warwick Farm this afternoon. The daughter of Smart Missile shook off the cobwebs over 1250m at Canterbury first-up and overcame a tough run in transit to post a dominant win at Hawkesbury last week. She’s only missed a place twice in her career and one of those races was at Listed level, and she looks to have a class edge over the lion’s share of today’s field.
Boom Chicka Boom failed to fire last time out, but he is stepping back to country grade at Sale today and will be extremely difficult to beat. The son of All Too Hard showed plenty of promise through his debut campaign in late 2017 and absolutely dominated a 1000m race at Cranbourne most notably, eventually winning by nearly six lengths. He was a smart first-up winner in his only other run this time in and is ready to peak third-up this afternoon. Trainer Mick Price has always had an opinion of this horse and he looks over the odds at his current price.

Sallybrook is a horse that tends to improve second-up and she looks to be over the odds in Race 3 at Sale this afternoon. The Team Corstens-trained mare has been a strong and consistent performer through her ten career starts and has only missed a place a handful of times. Stephen Baster will be able to find a position close to the pace from the rails draw and she has the ability to finish in the field three in a race of this quality.
